WELCOME TO CADILLAC ENTERTAINMENT & GONE COUNTRY

Who The Heck Are We?

In 1973 fresh out of college and working for the mighty 1290 KOIL radio.
Gordie Zealand was looking for a way to supplement his income. He
had heard of a gentleman (Complete Music ) that had come up with an idea to play music at wedding receptions and parties and charge a fee.

Gordie thought that
it was a great idea. So in July 1973 a MC/DJ business was created called Rock "N" Roll Treasures with just one DJ - Gordie. There has been some talk that Gordie started at an earlier age but we could not confirm this. We only found this picture of him.

As time went on the business started to grow and by 1980 Rock "N" Roll
Treasures had added 6 MC/DJ's. In 1988 Gordie purchased one of the largest MC/DJ companies in Omaha called All American Music. With the addition of All American Music and a strong reputation for having one of the premier MC/DJ businesses in the Omaha area the business grew to 18 MC/DJ's. Gordie discontinued using the name Rock "N" Roll Treasures and used the  All American Music from then on.

One of Gordie's music loves is the music from yesterday the Golden Oldie's
of the 50's & 60's. In 1987 he tested the market with a 50 - 60's music
dance show. The show would have dancing and during the dance from time to time instead of the music being sung by the artist he would have actual live
singers doing the song. The show was a major hit.

He called the dance show The Rock "N" Roll Reunion. The show traveled all
through the Midwest.

By 1989 through 1998 the Rock "N" Roll music show had gained such a excellent music reputation they had the opportunity to work with and open for:

 BOBBY VEE
 DEL SHANNON
 SCOOTER LEE
 EVERLY BROTHERS
BEACH BOYS

 DICK CLARK

In 1994 All American Music was about to grow again. In the mobile music
business Complete Music was number one in the market and a company named Magic Music and our own All American Music were tied for number 2.

Gordie realized that superior MC/DJ's were in short supply. Complete had
20-25 Magic Music had 20 and All American Music had 18. His thought process was in order to grow and still have an excellent music show you have to buy one of your successful competitors.

In 1994 Magic Music was purchased and added to our music family. Now a good problem arose what do we call ourselves? Magic Music or All American Music.

In a conversation with Gordie and his son
about what should we do. His son made the comment. "I'm not sure what to call us. All I can say is that we are the CADILLAC of all the MC/DJ ENTERTAINMENT in the area."

Thus CADILLAC Entertainment was born. And for 37 years we have been playing the Music From Yesterday To The Hot Hits Of Tomorrow. With one of the best reputations in our industry.

And finally the second music love in Gordie's life is Country Music.
Together with his wife Julene in 2000 they created Gone Country.
Country
music with an ATTITUDE. Both Gordie and Julene were amazed at how many people wanted to dance to country music. It's because of all those dancin' folks that Gone Country has been such a success.
